Pico Image Converter

This small utility allows you to use PNG images in your PICO-8 games. The utility does not create sprites, it creates a function which can then be called from your _draw function.  I use this utility to create intro screens easily!

Transferred app to my Windows 10 laptop. Didn't work there either.

I know this is the weekend. I'll wait until Tuesday morning (GMT), and if there's no response from the creator, I'll expect a refund. Disappointed.

To bad you're having problems. I use it myself and works. After you load the image you push "convert" ? This program generates a file.lua in the folder that you choose. Try to choose another folder, maybe the place is denied to save. Please, let me know if it works, and thank's for downloading!

Yes, OF COURSE I push 'convert'! How else would I know that it doesn't work? I've tried different directories, loaded different image files, converted files with and without 'compress' and 'transparency'... Nothing works. I've wasted enough time on this -- can I have a refund?

Sure you can have a refund! I will resquest it for you. Have a nice day!

Thank you

Just purchased this app (Windows 8.1 machine), and the program is not saving the converted files. I've tried with a couple of 4-colour png images, and there's nothing there. There isn't much to go wrong, so I assume this is serious?

Hi,

I decided to try this, but I'm afraid I am not having much success.
I get there error:

Runtime Error Line 19 Tab 0
  drawing(0,0)

Attempt to call global 'drawing' (a nil value)
in _draw line 19 (tab o)
at line 0 (tab 0)

What am I doing wrong here?

I am basically pasting in the Lua code after all my test code and then all I have in _update() is a button check to then set a flag to make the image draw in my _draw() function by called drawing(0,0)

Cheers,

Roy

Weird, I will see, what can be wrong, wait a minute pls

It's okay! I got it working. I just renamed the function from drawing(x,y) to something else and it worked. Weird.
I am using Pico8 0.2.0I

It's an excellent tool! Thanks!
